This story, another great submission for the Love Is An Open Road event, made my heart hurt and my eyes leak. I hurt for Jacob and I hurt for Tom. I hurt for missed chances, and for time lost. I hurt for Jacob, for the little boy whose innocence was taken from him, who had nobody but Tom believe him, who lost himself in the process. I hurt for Tom, who fell in love and was left without knowing why, who carried so much anger and grief in his heart, and who finally found out the truth.

But I also rejoiced when they found each other again, when the truth comes out, and when it's clear that not all is lost.

Gorgeous story, great writing, definitely worth your time.
